KS28 2200Õ asphalt surface runway runs parallel to the 49th. There is a ramp to the Canadian side, so this
remains an aviation destination. Plans by FAA in 2025 include a resurfacing project on the US portion of
the airfield. There are no plans by anyone on the Canadian side to match and improve our ramp and access.
The Peace Gardens should remain an important aviation Canadian access point and a must see.
